Sreenarayanaguru Open University Admission 2025: The online forms for SGOU admission under the academic session 2025 will release on 15 June 2025*. Sreenarayanaguru Open University is a state-open university in Kollam, Kerala. It was established in 2020 by the Sreenarayanaguru Open University Act 2021 (Kerala Act No. 1 of 2021). The university was the first open university in Kerala and was approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2021. 

The university’s establishment aimed to unify all the distance education courses offered by various state-run universities, such as Kannur University, Mahatma Gandhi University, the University of Calicut, and the University of Kerala, into a single university. • Bachelor of Arts (BA) All Specializations: The B.A. program offers several subject combinations below. Eligible candidates should have completed their Higher Secondary Examination with the required subjects for the chosen combination.
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): The BBA program prepares students for careers in business management. To be eligible, candidates must have completed their Higher Secondary Examination in any stream with a minimum required percentage, as per the university guidelines.
• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): The B.Com course is ideal for those interested in commerce, accounting, and finance. Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with Commerce or related subjects.
• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA): The BCA course is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in computer science and information technology. Candidates must have completed the Higher Secondary Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

• Masters of Arts (MA) All Specializations: The university offers a Master of Arts in the specialisation mentioned below. To be eligible to study this course, the candidate must have a degree from a recognised university in India.
• Master of Commerce (M.Com): SGOU offers an MCom to students who have completes a BCom or equivalent UG degree from a recognised university in India.

The admission process at Sree Narayana Guru State Open University (SGOU) will begin on 15 June 2025. All interested candidates must complete their registration and application through the online portal. Below are the detailed steps you need to follow for the registration and application process.

1. Go to the official website of Sree Narayana Guru State Open University, www.sgou.ac.in.
2. To begin the application, you will need to create a unique ABC ID. This ID will be your key to accessing the SGOU Admission Portal. Click on the “New Registration” or “Create ABC ID” option on the website. Once your ABC ID is created, keep your login details safe, as you will need them for future access.
3. Log in to the Admission Portal and fill in personal and other academic information, including Full name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, address and contact information. You will also need to enter your educational qualifications (e.g., your 10th, 12th, or Bachelor’s degree details, depending on the program you are applying for).
4. Make sure to fill in all the fields correctly, as this information will be used to process your application.
5. After filling in personal and academic details, you will need to select the program (UG or PG) you wish to apply for.
6. Once you’ve filled in the application and selected your program and LSC, proceed to pay the application fee. Pay fees of INR 350 for UG programs and INR 400 for PG programs.
