Any of the following criteria should be followed to study this degree:
- 3-year degree course/Shastri in respective subjects. (Candidates with Sanskrit as a second language or one of the graduate-level subjects are also eligible.)
- Siromani/Madhyama/SastraBhushana/Vidyapravena/Vidyalankara/Vedalankara/Vidwat Madhyama or equivalent exams from approved institutions.
- B.A. (O.L)/B.A. (L), B.A./B.A. (Hons.)/B.O.L or equivalent with Sanskrit from recognized universities.
Post Graduate Diploma (Yoga Vijnana): The university also offers a two-year diploma course in Yoga Vijnana. To be eligible to study this degree, candidates must be at minimum 20 years, as of 31 March 2026, and the maximum age must not exceed 45 years.
