BAOU Admission 2025 Update: Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University will soon initiate the admission process for July 2025 session to all bachelors, masters, diploma and certificate distance learning programs (except PhD). Students seeking admission to BAOU ODL courses must complete the registration process through the Gujarat Common Admission Service (GCAS) portal for UG and PG degree programs. BAOU admission last date will be 20 July 2025 for the July 2025 academic session.

BAOU Admission 2025
The Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University will start their admission portal on 27 May 2025 for their all the offered UG, PG level courses under the July 2025 academic session. Students who are keen to enroll in their desired course by visiting the official portal of the university https://baou.edu.in. 20 July 2025 will be the last date for BAOU admission 2025.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University provide based on merit scores except for PhD. The BAOU admission process is completely online. The registration fee is INR 1000 which is non-refundable.
Admission window is open for the certificate, diploma, PG diploma, graduate, and postgraduate level. BAOU Admission Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses
The eligibility criteria for all the courses offered by BAOU are Stated in the upcoming section of the article, students need to read carefully before they apply at any courses. Undergraduate courses eligibility criteria are mentioned below;
- Distance BSc Hons (IT/CS): 10+2 or equivalent or 10th +ITI or Diploma in Computer Engineering/Information Technology.
- Distance B.Com: Students with a Class 12th or equivalent or Class 10th+Diploma or Class 10th+ITI certificate.
- Distance BLIS: Graduate from regular university or done any vocational program.
- Distance BSW: 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent examination passed (in any stream) from a Council/Board.
- Distance BA or BA Hons: Candidate should have passed 10+2 or a 3-year diploma course after 10 from a recognized University/Board. Selection is merit-based.
- Distance B.Ed Program: Graduate/Postgraduate with 50% marks and 55% in Mathematics and Science. 5% relaxation to reserved category and 40% for disabled in the entrance exam will be accepted, PTC, ATD, D.Ed, D.El. Ed from a recognized University.
BAOU Admission Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses
The eligibility criteria for Post Graduate Programs are as follows;
- Distance MCA: Candidate must have passed BCA/ B. Sc/ BE (CSE)/ B.Tech (CSE), BE (IT), B.Tech (IT), or equivalent degree.
- Distance MBA: Candidate must have passed any Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3 years with a minimum of 50% aggregate or any professional qualification or Postgraduate in any subjects like Commerce, Engineering, Science, Education, etc, from a recognized University.
- Distance MA: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
- Distance MSC: Any graduate degree holder from accredited university shall be eligible to enroll in the Master of science in Cyber Security or Information Technology Program.

For the February 2025 academic session, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University has opened their Online registration form fill out procedure for the various of distance education courses such as MBA, MCA, MSc(IT/CS), MA, and other programs mentioned above. Step by Step process for BAOU Admission 2025 February Session
The February 2025 session registration for admission will have six steps to follow, but first, applicants must read it carefully.
- Step-1: Students seeking admission to degree programs at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) must complete the registration process through the GCAS portal. (GCAS Registration Link for Students)
- Step-2: After completing the GCAS portal registration process, log in to the BAOU portal “http://admission.baou.edu.in/New_Admission/DP_Sign_in.aspx” using the user ID and password provided by GCAS.
- Step-3: fill all the asked details from the university and Pay the prescribed fee for the chosen course.
- Step-4: Go to the form entry section and fill in details about subjects, centers, etc.
- Step-5: Upload the required documents in JPG format as per the specified size.
- Step-6: After uploading the documents, submit the form. A PDF of the form will be generated, but it is not mandatory to produce a hard copy of the form.
