KSOU Admission 2025: The online and offline admission process at Karnataka State Open University is open for various UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate courses unrde the academic session January 2025. Interested and eligible students can fill out the online admission form at www.ksouportal.com/views/studenthome.aspx. The last date to apply for KSOU admission 2025 is 15 March 2025. The registration fee for general category students is Rs 300.

KSOU Admission are merit based for all courses however there are entrance test for PhD courses. The university’s selection procedure is based on the eligibility requirements for each course. Students must fulfil the basic eligibility requirements for admission, which include having completed Class 10+2 for  Bachelor courses and a UG degree to pursue master’s courses at Karnataka State Open University.

About University: Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is a distance university located in Mysore, Karnataka. Authoritatively launched on the 1st of June 1996 on the undertaking of the “KSOU Act of 1992” to familiarise. It was established in 1996 and is affiliated with UGC and DEC. KSOU offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Science, commerce and humanities. The university offers open distance learning to those students who can’t attend college daily.

The university offers 85+ UG, PG, Diploma, Certificates level open and distance learning (ODL) courses including BEd and PhD. These courses are approved by the Distance Education board. The fees of KSOU courses range from INR 10,000 to INR 48,000, and the university also provides scholarships and grants for those eligible for it.

The Karnataka State Open University admission process has already begun for the 2025-26 academic session. The last date to apply for KSOU Admission 2025-26 is 15 March 2025. The admissions are merit & entrance based for all courses except PhD. To apply for admission, it is mandatory to apply through the admission portal and offline via nearest study center.

KSOU MA Admission

The Karnata State open university offers admission to a Master of Arts degree in distance learning mode. The course duration is 1 or 2 years depending on 3 or 4 years of UG degree. This course is available in 14 disciplines to students who have passed their bachelor’s degree. The final selections are merit-based therefore there is no need for the entrance test. The annual fees of this couse is between Rs 9,845/ to Rs 10600/ for different category candidates. KSOU MA admission is open for the January 2025 academic cycle with a last date of 31 March 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for KSOU UG Courses

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): KSOU offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)programa, aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in management and business. To be eligible for the BBA program, candidates must have completed their 10+2 from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) from the arecognisedd board. 
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program at KSOU is designed for students who want to build a career in commerce, finance, or accounting. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (Commerce or any stream) from a recognised board. 
  • Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences: KSOU’s Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences (BLIS) program is for those who wish to pursue a career in library science and information management. Applicants must have completed their 10+2 from any stream.
  • Bachelor of Social Work: The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program at KSOU is designed to train students for a career in social services and welfare. To be eligible, candidates must have completed their 10+2 from any stream.

Eligibility Criteria for KSOU PG Courses 2025
