Tezpur University Distance Education: The university was established on 21st January 1994 as a non-affiliating, unitary type residential institution of higher education. The minimum duration of several semesters is 4 and the maximum duration is 8. The university adheres to New Education Policy, 2020 thus providing multiple entry and exit options, helping students to their ease.
Students exiting in the 4th semester will get a diploma, if they exit in the 6th semester they will receive an honours degree, and if the students exit in the 8th semester they will receive an honours degree along with a research paper and a minor degree of the General elective chosen by the candidate.
The eligibility criteria for getting admission to a graduation course are very simple. Candidates must complete a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of their choice to be eligible for admission.

- Click on the “New Registration” button. Carefully read all guidelines provided before proceeding with registration. Register with a valid email address and mobile number. These will be used for all communications.
- After registering, you will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your mobile. Enter the OTP to verify your account and complete the registration process.
- After successful registration, log in to your admission dashboard using your registered credentials.
- Select the course you want to apply for from the list of available distance learning programs. Click on the “New Application” button to proceed.
- Complete all required fields in the application form carefully. Ensure that the information provided is accurate. Upload the necessary documents as specified in the form. Self-attest all uploaded documents before submission.
